Environment and Development information are essential tools to assist in bringing about the changes in lifestyle necessary to achieve a more sustainable society in the 21^st century. Finding the best means of communication according to UNEP is a global challenge.

In response to this global information challenge, EarthWatch in conjunction with her partners has developed a wide range of publications and information materials to increase awareness on environment and sustainable development to enable effective participation of communities in the management of their environment.

More than 50 publications, videos, slide presentations, educational aids and promotional materials are available – all directed at specific audiences.

Technical materials, including field manuals, guidelines and training packages are directed primarily at planners and field staff. The materials are designed for the application of new methods and tools in sustainable development and environment, project planning and implementation, monitoring and evaluation activities.
